  1. So now the city manager is gone with hundreds of thousands of dollars in benefits through a resignation I’m sure is going to be passed off as voluntary through some lame excuse proposed by the mayor as irreconcilable differences until the a new individual can replace Garcia which probably won’t be for some time causing the work load in this office to pile up on Michelle Dawson and to take ever longer to process the business of the city for businesses potentially seeking to invest in Moreno Valley or residents trying to build here too. So much for helping job creation city council.

This is Benzeevi’s way of quietly letting the city manager go who could potentially be a liability to him as a witness to a grand jury or a source of evidence of illegal backroom dealing that could get him indicted. The firing of Stewart from Geller’s office was the first attempt at this by shutting down access to Stewart’s work computer which could have evidence used in a grand jury on it as well. The question now is who will be next on the chopping block to get out of the way so Iddo Benzeevi and his dirty dozen can cover their behinds? Who ever it is I’m sure it will cost the tax payers more money and resources once again.

  2. These three lawsuits if they are won in favor of the plaintiffs and have to pay the demands will amount to $30,000 in reward payouts out alone plus lost benefits, costs for time in the court room.

In regards to the city manager, removing him could cost hundreds of thousands of dollars in long term benefits, if he is dismissed, finding a replacement will cost the city more money through delayed processing action due to cuts in staff, and then a potential replacement for the position. Largely the same situation that took place in removing the city attorney will cost the city more tax payer money in the long run. The city council has not wisely treated its staff with respect and much discretion. Plus the times for these meetings will also take out tax payer funds. So much for trusting the city government to balance the budget.

  3. It’s interesting how Marcelo Co, Tom Owings, and Jerome Stephens all have Michael Geller as their personal attorney even at times when he was serving on the planning commission. Richard Stewart has also used worked with him too. This can’t be considered a conflict of interest at times?

It goes to show that these individuals are associated personally together. Iddo Benzeevi needed Diversified Real Estate operated by Jerome Stephens and listed by Michael Geller to do land deals in Rancho Belago for housing, retail, and logistics development at different times in the past. Benzeevi used Richard Stewart and Geller to represent the funds of the Moreno Valley Tax Payers Association to disburse campaign funds to candidates that he have previously mutually agreed to vote in favor of his projects before they come up to agenda. Some of this money goes to Stewart to run for council and Geller to run for planning commission. In the future it was also given to Marcelo Co, Jesse Molina, and Victoria Baca to run for council. Baca used to work for Highland Fairview and previous companies operated by Iddo Benzeevi as a consultant. She personally knows Marcelo Co and Jesse Molina through groups like the United Democrats of Moreno Valley of which Benzeevi has attended meetings of. Tom Owings has his office next to Geller and Stewart’s law office at Raceway Ford and have been known friends on the planning commission together. Benzeevi also once knew Henry Garcia, the city manager from his development time in San Bernardino during the early 1990s. There are connections everywhere and personal bias as a result.
