A Deep Look Into Moreno Valley City Councilman Marcelo Co and His Qwik Pack Systems Inc.

Throughout Mr. Co’s service on the City Council of Moreno Valley, he has routinely mention his business in many different ways from manufacturing to non-manufacturing, but one thing has always been clear, he is in the business of providing equipment for the purpose of shipping materials and or products.

Mr. Co has also mentioned his “factory” which he claims is located in the City of Valencia, California; however mvgordie.com has not been able to locate any such business location. The only business locations we have been able to locate are the ones he lists as being located on Atwood Ave. and on Saddlebrook Lane both within the City of Moreno Valley, with the agent for service being in Redlands, with an individual named Nate Green.

Qwik Pack Systems as well as another merchandising company were at one time listed with Marcelo Co himself as the agent for service until the early part of 2010, when the companies were switched over to Nate Green.

As most now know Mr. Co states he is in the robotics industry, where he claims he manufactures robotic equipment for the shipping industry, but is that really the case at all?

When one thinks of robotics, they don’t normally include simply automatic machines much like those used in the tool and die industry however for the use in packaging of goods by simply folding a box and placing tape on them to seal them shut, or wrapping them in plastic.

Mr. Co is simple overstating the true nature of his business, for the purpose of looking like he knows something, or is somehow more important than he truly is.

All that aside, the real question is does he really manufacture anything or is he simply reselling someone else’s products under his company’s name, for the answer to that question you would need to know if so, who’s products is he reselling, how can you identify it, where do they come from, and how is he doing this with nobody knowing he is doing it.

To do this it is nice to know people who know Marcelo Co personally as well as his business, which mvgordie.com does. Once you receive the needed information, you must then do some research into the products Qwik Pack sells, their paint scheme, the labels they use and even the model numbers of their various products.

It helps when Qwik Pack Systems Inc. provides many pictures and videos upon their website, it aids in the identification process of the equipment for use in side-by-side comparisons with other manufactures such as Chuen An Machinery Company based in Taiwan.

The next step is to look for any shipping invoices between the companies which you find which would go to prove shipment from them to Qwik Pack Systems Inc. of Moreno Valley, it also helps when the target you are investigating provides videos of how the equipment they claim to manufacture works, and they use boxes which come from the possible source of the original equipment manufacturer (how stupid).

Through our lengthy investigation into this matter, we have come to the conclusion that the manufacturing claims made by Marcelo Co may be false, as the equipment he sells as made by his company are the products of another company based overseas.

mvgordie.com has obtained shipping invoices for shipments to Qwik Pack Systems Inc. through the Ports of Los Angeles from Chuen An Machinery Company, as well as supporting literature from both Qwik Pack and Chuen An which purport to show that the equipment sold by Qwik Pack Systems as “manufactured here locally,” may in fact be the products imported through the Los Angeles Ports.

mvgordie.com has contacted Chuen An Manufacturing regarding this issue, and has provided them with all supporting documentation for their review and a response.

We have also forwarded all information obtained during our investigation into this matter to the United States Federal Trade Commission for their review as well.

We fully intend to provide the same to you the readers as well for your review, and comments.

It has been reported to us from those close to Mr. Co, that his company simply takes the equipment received from other overseas manufactures, re-paints them with their company colors and replaces the labels with those of Qwik Pack Systems Inc. (the question is from what country they state they are manufactured in).

Although this claim hasn’t been totally cleared by mvgordie.com, we have done side-by-side comparisons, as well as watched all the videos provided to the public from the Qwik Pack website, and the claims made by others seem to be on the mark, as you can see that the equipment is one of the same, and you can also view in the background some equipment which has yet to have been changed at all.

It should also be noted that Chuen An Manufacturing is both an OEM and ODM manufacturer, which once again would show Qwik Pack Systems is not an original manufacturer, or a local manufacturer as Marcelo Co claims, but simply an importer of such equipment.

  1. Co, that crazy nut is always up to something. What a dip $#!++.

  2. MV Gordie, I just read this story. There is no “City of Valencia”…. no more than there is a city of Sunnymead. The Valencia community, up near Magic Mountain is actually the City of Santa Clarita.

    • Thank you for the clarification. I knew of this however it is Marcelo Co who is insisting his operation is there.

In the 80′s we used to hold fire training there for Chevron USA, Inc…

If he has a factory there, why is he always on Atwood with all his equipment, forklifts, cherry pickers etc (in a residential zone)?

  3. Mr. Co doing something unethical and lying about it certainly doesn’t surprise me at this point.
